Welcome to South Korea - IDEEA 2025 Annual Forum

The 7th annual IDEEA Forum will conclude in July 2025 at Hongik University in Seoul, South Korea, with the final presentations. This event signifies the highlight of the international Global Collaborative Engineering (GCE) course, which involves students from diverse international backgrounds. 

An international project with real challenges 

The course features an international project with hands-on challenges where participants work online in interdisciplinary and international teams over several months. They address real-world problems, conduct market research, and develop innovative, technically sound solutions. The program focuses on areas such as sustainable mobility, urban infrastructure, and innovative product development.
 At the end of the course, students present the results of their projects in person to an international audience from academia and industry. The event offers students the opportunity to receive valuable feedback from experts in the field and to build new contacts.

The final presentations will be hosted by the internationally renowned Hongik University, which is located in the vibrant Hongdae district in the heart of South Korea’s capital city, Seoul.The university is particularly known for its excellent programs in design, architecture and engineering, merging technological innovation with creative approaches.The university’s surroundings are characterized by a dynamic art and start-up scene that attracts students from all over the world.
